Divorcing and children with new spouse
I've previously been married to Sebastian but one bouncy baby boy later (now toddler), I realized how unhelpful he was to the farm and his tendency to need some time alone. Wanting to read comics all day was not a plus.

I ended up divorcing him after much thinking and eventually went for Haley (shocker). And she's been a strangely great spouse after marriage.

My question is: Is it possible to have the second child with her if I already had the one from the first marriage? I'm aware you can only have two (a boy and girl). I only ask because a couple seasons passed and she hasn't asked for one yet. Any help would be great 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm pretty sure you can, but it's kinda randomized.

Haley's an awesome wife, as far as cooking goes at least. Seb only ever gave me coffee. Haley gave me tons of food.

Seb is still my favorite husband, though, followed by Shane.

I like Shane too, I unlocked the blue chickens after I got a cutscene with him in the locked room they have in Marnie's house. 1/4 chance the chickens you buy will be blue after that.

Try to go to bed earlier than them. They tend to ask if you do.

Awh, I'm pretty disappointed now. I just married Sebastian a few days ago, and I was wondering why he wasn't cooking me food, or tending to the farm (like he said he would) and just worked on his motorcyle most of the time, or stayed inside the house... I'm not fond of a man who won't help his wife out, but Sebby's so cute (sobs). I'll wait a little longer.

I married Sebastian too .. no kids yet. In another game I was married to Shane but he was a slob and never did much. I say marry Shane and get the blue chicken and dumplings him. Keep the chicken.

He's still very sweet, but not if he's going to mope around the house all the time. Sam is pretty nice but he doesn't know how to cook xD

Yep, pretty much. And since marrying Haley, her attitude problem just evaporated and she helps around the farm a lot and she can definitely cook. She didn't dislike the first child or anything, but I can't seem to get her to ask for a baby.
And if you don't want to be a parent period, I heard you can turn your kids into doves late into the game and erase your ex's memories.

The doves, that was a nice way to do it.

Has anyone's game glitched where their spouse has gone missing? I have been married to Sebastian for a few years, one day went to the bug lair for first time. Was overcome and passed out.Closed out game restarted day, came home sank to the floor, 'cause I keep going to 2 most times and he is nowhere to be found. It has been two days. So does anyone know what to do?

Umm.. It sounds like no one has bothered putting in the effort to getting full hearts with the NPCs they've divorced.

The trick to getting them to finally ask if you should have a child is going to bed way before them, it'll happen eventually.
Sebastian after you get ALL hearts filled in, he does actually start helping around the farm every now and then.
For Shane, I haven't married him yet, but I've got his hearts all filled up and have gotten passed a point in his story that he no longer is "mopey" or a "clutterbug", and as far as I've seen for just having him as a "boyfriend" while married still to someone else, he is very active now and always positive.
As for a good spouse option, Emily was my first and she was always helping out. Once I got the hearts all filled up, she started giving me stardrops (purple star fruit) and even made my character an outfit.

So in order to get the good stuff, you gotta put the effort into filling all of their hearts up. Kind of like any relationship really..
