Last time I checked, this was still a thing. The wiki hasn't been updated in a while but also mentions animals like Sheep that stop producing goods because there is no "large" version of their product.
Seems like a simple problem but does not appear to be fixed yet.
Thank you very much for letting me know though! Now I can continue! :)
The problem with animals not producing when they're too happy is only happening to pigs. When the pigs are at their maximus hearts they will try to find better truffles for you. The problem is that truffles can only be a normal rating, without a star. This results in pigs not finding/producing any truffles when they're outside. This is the bug that is hoping to be fixed sometime in the near future. The same goes for the sheep because wool can only be normal rating too.
And to you vernicom, the goats only produces milk ones every other day, even if they're at maximum hearts!.
Hope this answers your question!
How about the affection bugs though? That's something all animals suffered from, would you know anything about that?
Otherwise please inform me on the affection bugs as I would like to know what that is :D
In the beta, I'm pretty sure they're fixed...
Haha yeah that Is a really big problem that also needs to be fixed :p
It's no fun when your animals gets depression when you pet them :(
They do? Are you playing in the live or beta version?
*pet* "I like you!" *pet* "I like you more!" *pet* "I love you!" *pet* "AAAH THAT WAS ONE TOO MUCH I'M TRAUMATISED"
Trying to keep your animals in a perfect mood seems like a real hassle unless you know exaclty when to stop for a while. I hope this gets fixed for future players at some point.
There is this infamous issue, as well as the other one; animal moods lowering several points the longer YOU stay up over 18:00 resulting in sad/fine animals with low spawn items come morning time.
I noticed the animals odd behaviour earlier today and when my dinos refused to lay eggs weeks apart, and my rabbits got all mopey for no apparent reason. It caused me research why, and imagine my shock and suprise to see another player posting the EXACT same topic only hours apart. *sigh*
Unfortunately, the buggy animal mood issues have been posted around the web for a while now, and in such a wonderfully, magic, captivating game as Stardew Valley, it's a shame to them have unaltered and unpatched.
Really hope the talented and impressive ConcernedApe (or the devs now working on the game) get to patch the bugs before the game goes multi in summer!
