The Wizard and the Flower Dance

I accepted a quest to deliver an Aquamarine to the Wizard but was a bit busy so put it off until the next day. Unfortunately that was the day of the Flower Dance. So now I'm stuck, I tried to sneak through the forest at dawn but was told 'Today's festival is being set up, come back later'. So I tried waiting it out until after 2pm and that enabled me to get to the Wizard's door OK but it was locked.

I quit my game session to think it over. Not that I particularly need the reward but I hate leaving quests uncompleted.

Any advice?

If you've unlocked the Witch's Hut you can teleport from there into the Wizard's Tower at any time of day and Rasmodius will still be standing in his usual spot.

Otherwise, there's nothing you can do about it- the festival will block you in, and he'll lock his front door after a certain point.

That worked, thanks. Interestingly I couldn't go back the same way. The Wizard said 'What are you doing, I only allow those I trust to enter there'. Then when I tried to go out his front door I got the 'festival being set up' message. I didn't want to use a totem so I had to wait for the Flower Dance to start.

His basement works the same way as the villager bedrooms, you need to get to a few hearts with him to go down there the normal way.

I just need to say. Oh boy. You sure go through a lot of trouble to make someone a little happy as you give them free stuff.
