You mention feeding them - so you are in winter (or it's been raining for 3 days)? You might not get regular milk in winter unless you pet the animals daily and put in a heater, especially if your relationship with the animal isn't very high.
If it's not winter or raining, then you ought to be letting them outside to eat grass daily. That provides a fairly large boost to animal happiness.
and jes somethimes they DON'T give milk,, at wiki they say cows give milk every day

thats why i stopped using cows, now i only have goats, i have 12 goats all 5 stars and they DO give milk every 2 days , and they are 90% large milk , so thats a gold star goat cheese
