Growing Hops
Hey guys. I am currently growing hops in my greenhouse. I am thinking about changing the setup though. Since hops produce every day, do I have to water them every day, or will they produce once the trellis is fully grown? Thanks!

They need to be watered everyday in order to produce

Remember you can't walk through them, so plan accordingly. Either line the outside wall with them, or make a path to walk through, and plant something like coffee or fruit for wine in the spaces you walk.

Yep, Basically what I've done so far. Just haven't planted in the walk-ways.

How many hops have you managed to fit in without it looking stupid? I think the most hops I can have is 60, with 56 normal crops...

I've somehow crammed 60 in as well (I don't have anything else growing though). But I am redoing the setup because it is kind of messy and could be easier to collect.

I hate that we can't just upload screenshots or other pictures without first putting them on Imgur or Reddit >_>

I have my west/east walls lined with hops, and 4 iridium sprinklers in the center. Is that more or less what you have?

Ermmm... I have my north, west, and east walls covered (an upside-down 'u' shape), which continues shrinking as it goes inwards.

hm?
Press F12 ingame and upload it or is your steam overlay disabled
Speaking of screenshots, I have tried using F12 to capture some, and it doesn't work. Not sure why though :/

The only reasons I can think of that F12 would not work for someone is if they have disabled the steam overlay, or reassigned the screenshot button. If the overlay is turned on through Steam settings (which I believe it is by default), then when you press F12 while using any program you opened through steam, you will see a thumbnail view of the shot breifly in the lower right corner to indicate that a screenshot has been taken. Upon exiting the program Steam will open a screenshot window where you can choose from all the screenshots you took, which ones you would like to upload to Steam's database. I think Steam gives you something like 20gb of space for uploading screenshots.

Doesn't work if it's not finished in-game. :P I wanted to post my little "planner" thing of what my greenhouse would look like.

76

8 vertical rows. 4 iridium sprinklers, edges watered by regular sprinklers one row in between them. for crops.
Yep, that'd work. Cool. Thanks.

Although now I'm having second thoughts, and considering also growing other stuff in there...

Or if you have a laptop like me and the F1 to F12 keys are permanently keybound to other functions that you can't change because the code for this is in the PC's ROM. My screenshot key is -

I'm probably gonna do all beer and jelly/pickles. Wine's just a tad too OP for me. I might grow some sweet gem berries, too, if I don't think it's too annoying. So the greenhouse would be hops and sweet gem / ancient, and the fields would be cauliflower/strawberries, melons/blueberries, and pumpkins/cranberries, probably.

Can Junimos harvest inside the Greenhouse (Haven't gotten them yet, so idk)?

I did think about this. Normally F12 works, but I changed it to * to test.

UPDATE: My new screenshot key does work! Yay for me!
