Sewer Force Field

So, I haven't seen anyone else discussing this, and I haven't found any info via google search, so I'm not sure if this is even a thing you can do. But, is there a way to bypass the force field inside the sewers? That area where there's a crack in the wall leading into darkness, and it stops you from going through? If anyone knows anything about it, I'd appreciate it.

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, that's a late game quest. It's part of a quest chain available after you complete the CC (or the Joja Mart upgrades I'd guess).
