haley friendship

Hi guys, I have a question, I have 9 hearts with haley (girlfriend) but I'm still not ready for marriage, I want to have a stable economic situation, a well decorated house, animals, etc. Is something wrong if I stop giving gifts to haley? I do not want to get married yet but I do not want to lose the friendship and hearts I have with haley, thank you <3

Um...keep giving her gifts. You can't get married unless you buy and give her a pendant. So keep gifting her so you don't loose hearts while you build up your farm.

Friendship hearts will continue to decay until you reach 10-hearts (8-hearts if single and don't give a bouquet). However, the decay is pretty minimal, it will take a long time before you start losing hearts.

With that being said, there is no risk bringing Haley to 10-hearts, since marriage will only be triggered if you gift her a pendant.

Continue to giving gifts to Haley because you don't get married till you give her the mermaid pendent.

If they have 8 hearts it wot decay any longer unless they are romance in which case it moves up to 10. But once they reach those you can relax

Her hearts won't drop once they hit 10. Buy the mermaid pendant ASAP, and just toss it in a chest until you're ready. You can't buy the pendant in the winter.
