How old do you suppose everyone is?

Okay, okay this might be an odd thing to think about. However, look at it this way. Abigal mentions not having finished her homework. So you'd think... she could be in university right? Execpt Pelican town is a bit far from the city.Pelican town doesn't even have a school. Online school? Not likely. Home school? Well, home school would put her in her teenage years... so she'd be pretty young.
When you get close to Maru, her father mentions her bright future and makes it seem a bit like he's talking about University. However... Maru is a nurse...meaning she would have to be old enough to have done whatever to become a nurse.
Shane and Sam like to drink. Let's just say if there's age drinking laws in Stardew valley they'd have to be adults. Though, Sam doesn't always act like one.
Sebby, works doing computer programing and other computer stuff and like to talk about how his age is affect his desicions as he gets older.
Penny would have to be an adult of some sort if she's giving the kids an education.
YOU, the character you play seems pretty young. Though old enough to get married as all the other single pringles mentioned above.
From dialog, the single pringles of Pelican town seem to differ in age groups. What do you people think?

I think most of the singles are in their early 20s (Shane might be late 20s, Harvey's perhaps in his 30s, and Penny, Elliot, and Leah mid-to-late 20s >.> ).

Demetrius, to me, was talking about Maru having even greater potential than what she's already shown (which, while he's an insufferable ♥♥♥♥, is a good point for a small-town nurse who's basically a receptionist while Harvey's the one doing the actual medical stuff. I'd imagine Maru didn't need much in the way of official qualifications to get the job that she's doing).

Caroline mentions that she and Pierre are letting Abigail stay free of charge while she's in school, an arrangement only made with an adult child going to university/college. She doesn't have a computer...though maybe she borrows Sebastian's second computer and that's why she visits him so much. Or maybe the dev didn't think this detail, which is unimportant to gameplay, through XD

Abigail says she's taking online classes. She even has a computer to the right of her room. She's definitely in her early 20s or maybe even 18, 19? I dunno.

I'm also certain everyone is an adult except Vincent and Jas.

I think it's funny how Lewis, Pam, Gus, and Clint are the only ones that actually show more of their age. Shoot Marnie calls herself an "old girl" but she don't look that old to me.

Sebastion is Maru's OLDER brother. He's Robin's son from her first marriage. Maru is in the 18-20 range, Sebastion is early to mid 20's.

I would say sam and abby are probably the youngest singles, probably around 20 years old (maybe slightly less).

I'm not sure why so many people peg Sebastian as that young. He's a programmer who owns his own business. While it's not impossible to do young, it certainly implies he's had his education and is probably in his mid 20's at least.

Harvey seems like the oldest of the singles to me.

I think most people think that Sebastian is around Sam and Abby's age because the 3 of them are usually hanging out together. It's definitely possible that he is older than them but just hangs out with them because they're good friends.

Something that somewhat adds to that theory is in one cutscene where Robin comes down to Sebastian's room and says that Abby was looking for him and he gets frusterated that no one respects his work. This could imply that she's somewhat immature and thus younger than him and might just "put up with them" half the time (but really I think underneath his "cool guy" act he really values their friendship) ^.^

Thier age is whatever you want it to be, I don't think there should ever be an official announcement on it either since it'd make people feel weirded out on their personal age gap and the character's. Imagine if Harvey is actually 40 or that Maru is 17. Things just get weird.

I'm mid 20's, so I just average all of the bachelors/ettes around my age and go from there. Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian spend time at the bar. And Sam even goes there on other days, so he may drink there some. So I don't see the teenage vibes most people see on that group. Nobody comes off as below 21 to me besides the obvious 2 kids since most enter the bar or accept beer and wine as gifts.

That's one way of looking at it. I guess it depends on if you look deeper into the story or not. Everyone will have different opinons on it. I just think it's cool to see what others think about it. I quiet like digging into stories of games and finding secrets and hidden stuff as well as character stories. It's a bit like reading a book. Every character has a story of some kind. :)
