But, I'd suggest trying an area where you can catch lots of fish as the more you catch, the quicker your level rises. I think it's a numbers game rather than more difficult fish give you more experience. However, if you wish to try an area where there is a hard fish to catch, go for level 60 of the mines. The Ice Pip is not easy and you will also catch Ghost fish together with lots of algae.
I'm not entirely sure about that, I think difficulty and value of the fish also come into play here. If you have an iridium rod, lots of wild bait and a few spinners, then I'd suggest going to the mountain lake or beach to catch lots of carp, chub, sardines and tuna.
I would recommend getting to level 10, then eating Dish O' The Sea before attempting to catch The Legend.
