Controller or Keyboard?
Title's all you need, I'm new to the game and I've heard mixed thoughts over using a Keyboard or a Controller for Stardew Valley.

so basically, what do you people think is better?

I use mouse and keyboard as I sit at a desk and don't have consoles. If you are used to controllers or play on a big TV and want to sit back on the sofa I could see the benefit of using them.

Keyboard and mouse for some things, especially farming activities such as tilling, watering, or harvesting. Controller for most things such as running around, talking to villagers, combat, and most importanly of all, fishing.

For the most part I'd think a controller would be okay, but I swear, it seems like precision would be a nightmare. (Planting seeds, watering, etc.) I use mouse and keyboard. Never tried a controller.

I use a controller. I think it's all about personal preference :) It is harder to aim with a controller, but you get used to it pretty quickly

I use a controller (wired Xbox 360 controller). It's honestly not any harder to aim with it than it is with keyboard/mouse, which I did use at first.

I started with mouse and keyboard but quickly switched to controller and it made it so much easier. The right stick gives you cursor control when you want to place stuff more precisely and I found it made other things a little faster/easier. Fishing is significantly easier and I found collecting crops and watering them was easier as well, you can always try it though, using a controller doesn't disable the keyboard controls and I will still sometimes use my mouse to place something.
