It might not be to you, but many harvest moon type games out. This one key point was the co op that gave it hype by many players.
Also I understand about the mod, but when this game was in development he was going to have mutiplayer that is balance around the systems in place. The mod is a nice short cut, but not what was being sold.
Supporting a company is now consider a bad thing. Giving indie company a boost in hopes to get what they promise is bad now? Good to know.
It was never a selling point, we buy it because we love Harvest Moon like games.
Sure we know at some point multiplayer would be add to the game....
BTW multiplayer harvest moon like, what your choice out there?
So yeah, don't speak for everyone please, it just makes you look silly.
I've played every installment of the Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory games, and a few other spin offs. Stardew Valley is far and away the best. Not a lot of room to complain if they take their time adding to the game.
I remember back when games came out, and then they just stayed the same forever. There was no chance they would ever get updated or improved, or worked on at all. They just printed them to some form of media, sold them, and you played what you played. I for one am thankful to get to watch this game become more and more of a masterpiece over time.
Although, they're launching a physical release of Stardew Valley, and they'll probably want multiplayer working by then, so I'd expect it soon.
Multiplayer is cool and I hope it comes soon because I want to play it with my friends but I find it pretty dishonest and honestly a little delusional to say that this game sold on the promise of multiplayer co-op.
...Because it really didn't.
Also, I am sure most of the people didn't buy the game for playing multiplayer. I bought this game when it was in beta and I am quite happy with what it delivered. Multiplayer would be a nice addition but the game is good enough and better than it's alternatives as it is.
You might have supported the game for multiplayer, but think before including a phrase like "many of us...", because I think the majority of the community won't agree with you on this.
i have Stardew Valley since more or less the beginning!
It was NEVER a promised feature....... Ape is doing this for US because it got that hyped fast but that was not because of a Multiplayer promise... but because it reminds us of Harvest Moon.
I played it on Play Station 1.. the first fat PS1. It was my first console and one of my first games and i played it for hundrets of hours over decates... i was born in 1990 and i grew up with this game and the PSP game...
THIS is why its hyped and sold so much.. not because of promised features.. the fans are happy mostly with offline and mods (which you NEVER had with harvest moon)
