Harvesting Fruit Trees
This is going to sound like a goofy Noob question and it is -- how do I harvest a fruit tree?

I have producing fruit trees but the only way I've found to harvest the fruit is to hit it with an axe. What you're thinking -- yeah. After so many chops, the fruit tree becomes wood. Sad day when I discovered that.

I'm playing on a PC via Steam, if that's significant. I'm a novice gamer, new to Steam, new to Stardew (just starting Summer Year 2). A friend playing on an Xbox says "Just click on the base of the tree!". Yeah, no that doesn't work.

Please be explicit with your answer. And gentle with your reply. I've searched the wiki and several forums for a couple of days now and I'm still scratching my head.

You just need to right click on the tree.

I also push up against the tree trunk when doing a right-click, similar to how you collect honey.

Oh MAN! That totally worked. Thank-you, thank-you!

(I can't believe I hadn't tried a right-click yet.)

I saw the title and came here to troll by saying to have to hit it with your axe.
Thanks for ruining my fun.

There are no weeds on the edge of the tree
