The dwarf scroll II is a drop from the dust sprite (the black thing who jump everywhere) and blue slime.

Also for the skull cavern :
-Try to get the galaxy sword (you don't know where and how to get that ? when you learn dwarf language read the tombstones it tell you how and where).

- Bring lot of cooked food for healing and have some explosive on you against the Mummies (well you can also craft some with the ore you get).

- If you have access to the bug lair (it's in the sewer) farm the bug they drop plenty of alguae soup.

- the reward for slaying 1000 slimes is usefull too.

-try to do other thing than the skull cavern : in other field you can get a lot of thing which will be useful for the skull cavern (bundles/friendship/etc...)

PS : if you lose your galaxy sword don't worry you can buy it back at the adventurer shop after you unlock it

I do agree, it's strongly recommended you bring a large stack of food with you before trying to raid the Skull Cavern. If you've been farming a lot, this shouldn't be too much of an issue, just stockpile a bunch of something cheap you've been growing. (Berries and beans are good for this, as you can harvest them multiple times a season, and often yield multiples from each harvest). Alternatively, one of the early recipes is Choclate Cake, and can easily be crafted for decent healing and Energy if you stock up on a few Chickens. (Abagail also loves this if you want her to be your waifu, xD)

The slime enemies you encounter in the skull cave have a chance of dropping Iridium Ore when killed, and maybe (Unverified) an Iridium Bar?
The Large Slime has Iridium Bar as a rare drop.

Alternatively, if you need Iridium Bars to crafting the Level 3 Auto-Sprinkler (5x5 watering area), you can also buy one Sprinkler every week from the Sewer Dweller on Fridays. It costs 10,000 Gold (Sadly, he only has one per sale per week)

the easiest way to get down deep into the skull cavern is 1 wait for a good luck day bring a large amount of mega bombs... bring a couple stacks of stone so you can make stair cases... run around bombing rocks adn jump in the holes if you dont find a hole in lik 20-30 seconds take the stairs if you found them or use one of your staircases...

its easier to get irridium fighting the purple slimes though finding a decent amount of irridium ore to mine is pretty rare...

The easiest way to get Iridium is from the Statue of Perfection.

Find a good luck day and bring some luck boosting food, such as spicy eel. Use bombs and staircases to reach about level 50 at least. You should get at least 5 bars' worth of iridium by floor 50ish.

Use those bars to upgrade your pickaxe, or craft an iridium band (ring)
Either will help you get through the mines a lot faster than using gold pickaxe and lower combat stats. So next time around, you'll hopefully be able to reach floor 60 or deeper, getting even more iridium bars.

I'd say priority level, for me:
1. Iridium band, due to the glow + magnet being useful outside the mines as well.
2. Iridium pickaxe, for getting subsequent bars faster.
3. Iridium axe.
4. Iridium sprinklers.
5. Iridium hoe.
6. Iridium sprinklers.
7. Iridium watering can, maybe? Probably won't need it at this point. :P
