Random 'use' sound and sparkles

I know this is going to sound strange, but as it has now happened to me a few times and Google searching returns nothing similar, I thought I would ask if anyone else experiences this.

Every once in a while, generally while opening/closing a container (chests, fridge, etc) I hear the 'use' sound (think of the sound when you start to charge your hoe or watering can) followed by VERY brief sparkles or cloud particle effects near my character's head.

The first time happened when i was closing out of the fridge, and I swore I saw one of my items disappear, and the effect next to the head was a white/pale cloud. I had just put my first void egg into the fridge, so I started wondering if it had something to do with the void egg, but taking it in and out repeatedly didn't cause the effect to happen again.

The next time was a few days later as I was closing a chest after putting a gold starfruit into it (prepping for the Valley Faire) and this time it was gold sparkles. So I immediately re-opened the chest wondering if something had been 'magically' upgraded in quality or a random item added, but nothing.

That happened on day 10 of Fall Year 2, a 'displeased' fortune day for me, and I managed to get the sparkles to happen again by quickly opening/closing different chests a few times, but I can't move fast enough to grab a screenshot of the effect, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what it does.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what it could be doing?

I saw one time the efect of walk, footprints and cloud of dust, but nothing where near mine, like if somebody was invisible.

I had orange sparkles while using a chest, but the chest was empty? :')
