Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero

After watching the initial video, There was something bugging me.. this game looked just like a game I used to play on PS2...

then it hit me, HOLY CRAP, This is literally a port of tokyo xtreme racer zero that was on PS2.. I dont want to have to buy this game to make this point, but it needs to be said.
they simply added drift physics and updated car textures.

I hope I'm not the only one who noticed this?
the new landscape with updated textures seems like they are porting from other games now. to me I like the concept but it seems a serious lack of integrity is involved with the making of this game. I doubt they have the lisence for the cars, which TERZ didnt either (they simply called the cars by code names)
but something seemed shady, I guess time will tell.

Well I hope I'm worng. overall the game seems cheaply done and very very shady. I know I'm expecting more from a 7$ game but idk

Well there is more expensive crap than this, and the game has only one developer, even if updates are often changes take time, but you don't find often developer working so hard to a game like this one which puts me at ease mate.

I have all the Tokyo Extreme Racer, Drift, Zero, heck I even have Import Tuner Challenge for xbox. This game is NOT like them... Kinda looks like it but thats like saying Grand Turismo and Forza are the same... Well they are but they arn't... Get what I mean?

its $7 now, but the funny part is why is this NOT a pre released game?
I have seen so many games on steam that are pre released and at half to 3/4 of what the price will be (or they stay alpha or beta forever and never go full release. Ark comes to mind here =P )

But this game looks like they released it as a alpha/beta but make you think its a full released game for $7. Also should have a workshop so mods, maps, ect can be added from the comunity but eh, what do I care... American Truck Simulator is ready in 2 days so no time for this lol

Agreed, these games are completely different. TXR3 was an awesome game though, I've been considering buying an old ps2 just to play it again.

well, i got excited when i saw the screenshots because this looked and reminded me of terz, then i jumped on the forums to learn about the game and i saw this thread and i got even more excited because i thought it might indeed be something like a terz remake.

now i have watched the trailers and learned this is a drift game. that's it basically... any more questions entropy?

you would all know that if this game took any inspiration from genkis games, half the people that bought this game would be complaining about the cars handling like bars of soapnot that its a bad thing, txr zero was my favorite ps2 game
