Game crash/freeze
I installed the game again after a while, I think since 2.0 and when I go to start new game so I can see what was different, I get to the kid's door, start to go in and the game freezes right at the door, won't let me move. Then, the whole computer screen goes black. I also have a second monitor and both went black I try alt-ctrl-del to open my task manager to close the game completely and it will not let me. All it does is continue to show the black screen with my curser showing a green circle, like it's waiting to open the task manager. It didn't change for several minutes, so I had to FORCE SHUT DOWN just to use my computer again.

I didn't even change any of the settings for video settings because I know my computer can handle this game since I have been able to play it with no issues, except for one time, but it was a simple fix.

I'm kind of afraid to try opening the game again, fearing this will hapoen again :/

Hi Gemini

Have you tried updating the nvidia GPU drivers?
The game uses the latest Oculus Rift SDK 1.3 update, and UE4 4.11 which require the latest Nvidia / AMD drivers to date.

Also make sure to delete the entire previous Boogeyman folder in the steam directory, and re-install.

Let me know if this fixes it :)

I'll try to update the drivrs. I'm a little hestient to do so though, last time I did, the driver update messed with my computer. Maybe if they've updated past the last one, I'll manually update to the newest one, which will hopefully not do anything weird again lol.

But my specs are fine right, for the game?

Your specs are more than good enough to run the game.
You should use the Nvidia control panel to automatically update your drivers.
They should never result in any issues as long as you do a clean install, and restart your PC after.

EDIT: I had the same problem. I realized I used the QUIT door! LOL

...I had to use the closet to get a new game...
