Achievement self defense for 400 towers on the map. (buggy)?

I played through the whole game and defeated the last map. but in the last maps the counter doesn't count up, it stands on 256/400 Towers. i think there is a failure or the achievment is much to high =D

i think always its very annoying that after beating the game it ends, it would be better if all levels are free to choose and i can play them like i want also to make the last achievement because now i have to restart the game to eventually have luck and get the right maps to built 400 towers

The easiest way to go imho is to load a saved game and to let the Crusade attack you so you can build more towers each time. It can be pretty fast to get the achievement if you build a dozen on each map (some even allow you to build more than 20). :)

I feel like this is bugged or I'm missing something. I've completed the game, mine is on 330/400. I've loaded an old save, and redone the last 3-4 levels, and survived multiple battles of them attacking me - it doesn't go up at all. Tried starting a new game, it still doesn't go up.

litte bug: first map shows 8/12 towers possible but only 8 tower slots
