Hitting final boss through the bubble

Hi. I completed Turtle Odyssey years ago (including the final boss), but now I can't figure out how to break through the bubble that surrounds the shark.
I watched walkthroughs, but only found ones without commentary and it seems to me like they're shooting and shooting and then out of nowhere it just randomly works once (repeat 3 times).
I tried many times but never managed to deal a single hit.
Is there a specific timing? A pose that means the shark is vulnerable?
I'm playing on hard difficulty, but that didn't seem to change much for other bosses.

Sometimes I can shoot him when he has no shield. But my problem is that boss likes to disappear within 2 or 3 mins from start of the battle. And he never coming back again. Only restart.

The boss was disappearing for me too.
I managed to complete the fight eventually without any problem. If I recall correctly, you need to pop the air bubbles that form around the lion heads on the wall for the shark to temporarily loose the shield (don't quote me on that though).

Right, right. But i have no time to defeat. Boss is disappearing too fast. My record is deal them 2/3 damage of HP bar.

I assume it is, yes. During my first playthrough years ago (different pc and not having the game through Steam), it definitely wasn't happening.

This happens to me as well, and it always occurs. Only on my laptop though, when I played it on my PC before I didn't have that problem.
