Have people just attempted to redefine what open world is? Because going down a linear path with a companion barking orders of where to go and when, which the entirety of this game has been so far, is not open world.
If this is not how the game is all the way through, where does the open world part start? It's just not a good idea to claim your game is open world and have it start out, and for hours afterwards, be completely linear.
I'm kind of thinking this is how the entire game is going to go.
If the mission is to get a track maintenance car to pull a carriage back to the Aurora, you can stop dozens of times along the way in doing that and go off and do your own thing and come back, kill some pirates, rescue some fishworshipers, but you still have to do it to progress the mission. Same as any game.
I get what you mean, though. there's not parallel missions in an overall world map, but in sequential regions. yes that's how the entire game is going to go.
