how do you leave or get to the church

i cant get to the church and i cant go back the way i came
and im just stuck on this tiny island and cant leave
and i cant climb on the roof anymore
and icant load an earlier save since it autosaves
how do i get back to the tower or church
aall the ice is gone now
the bells been ringing for over an hour and its driving me crazy
theres water surrounding the entire island there sno way back the way i came
and you cant swim either

Have you been to the church yet? nvm.. you get there by following Anna to a boat after leaving Aurora for the first time. But, if you're stuck then you're stuck, you'll probably have to restart the Chapter. And next time, take a boat, that's what they're for. There are 4or5 boats on the map, look for docks on the waters edge.
Couple of things to remember, you'll eventually lose two boats during main missions, and one of those boats only has access to one isolated body of water, so if you're going to explore then plan carefully.
btw, most of the various main mission locations in the game can't be returned to, so do everything you need to do while you're there (like Collectables etc) or you'll have to wait until NG+ to pick them up.
