Dead City No Ammo

Defeating the Boss at the end of Taiga depleted all my ammo. At the start of Dead City I "replenish" my ammo at the rail car workbench and grab the available gun and acquire 30 rounds of ammo while my other two weapons remain at 0. I have made it to Dead City shop with a workbench yet only one of my three weapons (again) has ammo (another 30 rounds). I cannot advance beyond this point. Do I have the wrong weapons? I cannot seem to manufacture any more ammo. What am I missing?

You don't have to shoot all ammo into the bear.After taking some damage he triggers a cutscene where Alyosha saves Artyom and the bear dies .Anyways if u have zero ammo it ain't a problem.Find some materials,find a workbench and craft ammo.Instead of firearms use the crossbow against mutants.Powerful thingy with unbreakable bolts.

You dont need much ammo at all in the dead city.

During act 1 where Miller is with you just let him do all the shooting. He has plot armor so cannot die.

Act 2 is the only time you will actually need it. But by then you will find it laying around. Or just use the Tikhar, which you will get even if you didnt leave the Aurora with it equipped. Its ammo can be crafted on the go for cheap.

Act 3 can be completed without firing a shot so long as you can avoid the librarians
