Single player story driven first person games: Halo, Half Life, Bioshock. If you want more of the atmosphere and less of the gameplay mechanics: Fallout or Stalker.

A fourth game is actually in the works, announced back in 2020

Stalker series.... Same developer and older games
(there are 3 of them... and they're all hit and miss. With the first game being the jankiest of them due to the Allied AI not able to hold anything without your intervention....which Fallout 4 repeated like 8 years later. And how airsoft, like, the guns feel.)

...I guess maybe... Dishonored series kinda has the same feel.... maybe?
in a reaching kinda way. Guess you can say the same with the FEAR series.

What exactly are you looking for? Story driven single player FPSs? Games set in a metro? Ukrainian games?

There's a lot of games out there, but I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for.

If you want to try another great postapocalyptic game thats also very immersive try Mad Max. Fallout 4 has its moments too. :DukeRadioactive::DukeExplosion:

A immersive game like metro exodus, no hud and you have to manually get a map etc and the npc in the game you get really attached to.

Darkwood, aka eldritch tree stalker in poland, amazing if you have the capacity to handle a different game perspective. Exodus also took a ton of ideas from Farcry 2 in its design.

This might seem like a weird recommendation at first glace, but have you ever played the first Evil Within? It's a horror game, but Metro is pretty horror adjacent too. And the HUD is able to be turned off from the settings menu. It's very story heavy and has interesting NPCs with really cool back stories. It's also a AAA single player game like Metro. It has survival aspects where every bullet counts, like Metro too.

It plays a lot like the older Resident Evils so that's a bit different from Metro, but no so much that I think you'll care. But it is pretty scary though. Honestly, it's one of my favorites. I've always felt it didn't get as much acclaim as it deserved. The sequel to it has better gameplay, but the story, setting, and atmosphere is much worse IMO.

Also, keep an eye out for the remake to Shadows of the Damned whenever that comes out.

i would say either "stalker anomaly" which is free or fallout games well 76 requires you to get the fallout first and for Stalker Anomaly you can download the GAMMA mod pack
