How to enable grenades and throw them?

I've crafted the grenades and I can't seem to enable them and throw them. I've looked all through my settings and no where can I bring one up to throw it at an enemy. I'm using keyboard/mouse, not a controller. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default for me was C
You also hold down C to select your throwing item

I looked online and it said to do that, however it doesn't allow me to select any throwing items (grenades, knives, molotov cocktails etc.). Is there a key binding I could enable? Thanks for replying.

You need to open inventory to select grenades, knives etc. I think it was tab in metro last light. I don't remember if that was the case in exodus.

hold c and use mouse to select
