Metro Sequel Nearly Due

This game released in 2019. That means a potential sequel is 1-2 years away since it has already been around 4 years since then.

What do you think these developers are planning sequel wise and when do you suspect they might firmly announce something.

Has anyone heard anything?

Also hoping for the potential to see what it is like in another country. Maybe the new game could do more travelling between different countries.

Yeah. But it keeps getting delayed even though that development team is located in Prague and not Ukraine. They keep using Ukraine as an excuse to delay it.

My belief is that they are actually having behind the scenes development issues, and I suspect with their Unreal Engine 5 implementation most PCs will not be able to play Stalker 2 smoothly. Fort Solis and Immortals of Aveum are recent examples of Unreal Engine 5 being a serious issues to optimise on PC platform.

They've already confirmed they're pretty deep into development, but they are a studio that refuses to do crunch, especially after Prof had a stroke from the working stress under THQ.

As much as I like the idea, aus is already inhospitable enough without radiation mutating the wildlife too. It'd be like 'The Land that Time Forgot.' Only instead of dinosaurs the monsters would be cryptids, or straight out of Frankenstein's lab. And they'd all be venomous too, every single damn on of them. Actually, it does sound like fun.

Seriously though, I think we'll all be surprised. The sequel will apparently reflect current real world events so there are any number of things that might happen. An unjust war, the persecution of a man for believing in himself. I wonder if the crew were charged 'in absentia' too? Artyom might return to the Metro and be arrested as a spy. Sound familiar?

Artyom's story isn't over, but the studio has gone through some recent changes with the Embracer/Saber stuff and I don't expect anything new for the next year or two.

Games take longer to make nowadays.

The game is already finished and they are polishing it, a release in 2024 might be realistic

Yeah,, I can wait for Stalker 2. It's been a long time & an even longer time coming, but if it's done right and done true then it should be a good adventure. Definitely worth waiting for.

Having to go the whole way back to Moscow just to fight Hanza don't seems really smart from Aurora's group perspective.
But maybe there is other way to transform informations to metro that other places in world are still alive.
Maybe Hanza is just more than Moscow, or maybe more deep into russia there are other organizations who control everything
