Stutters w/4090 & 7950x3d

All drivers are up to date, playing in 4k.

I've tried everything I've found on reddit with no luck.

99% FPS is about 20% of the FPS I'm getting in the game is..

intel 13900 ks user here i read some stuff a while ago try runing the game with 8 cores 16 threads , some 5950x users shut off some cores in the bios 8/16 fixed it worth a try .

i know if i let metro use my e cores on my 13900 ks it does this

yeah the enhanced edition game is definitely broken on 7950x3d. I saw a suggestion to change windows power plan to high performance (amd's recommended is balanced for best performance) so I'm going to try that next while leaving everything else default.

I'm hoping the devs and amd really take notice of this because it's completely unplayable

That's what I've come to find out, I saw a youtube video with same problem and everyone else in comments with same CPU is having the same problem.

rtx 3080 and 7900x3d here. Same issue but im playing normal edition (not enhanced)

play enhanced edition if you have RTX capable gpu. it's a more stable version of the game.

I have a 4090 ofc I'm already playing enhanced lol. The game is fundamentally broken for anyone with a 7950x3d currently tho :/

Oh man my poor 7950x3D. WIsh I had your problem. I'm still stuck with the 5800x3D. I will upgrade at some point though. That's always the problem of getting the cutting edge technology, not all the bugs are worked out yet.

Running 7900x3d. Only fixes I’ve found are to disable the core parking (turn off game mode/bar all the stuff you’re advised to turn on to utilise 3d cores) or disable the chiplet without extra cache completely by enabling game mode in Ryzen master which shower best results by a mile (really ♥♥♥♥ for me though, caused ram training on boot to get stuck in a loop that I could only fix by reseating ram…). Really considering returning cpu as the core parking implementation is proving to be dire.

You are not alone. There are individuals in other games with 7950x3D who have issues. It's new technology. It's the growing pains if you purchase the newest best thing. Overtime you hope there is enough support from AMD that it fixes the issue. Some of their future tech sounds amazing. Both CPUs and GPUs, I normally buy Nvidia, but AMD will have the FSR 3 which works on Nvidia released soone. Just wait hopefully over time everything irons out.

The next sad thing is that the reviews of the 7800x3D are coming in and it's now considered the best gaming CPU. They sold die hard early enthusiast chips that don't perform as their lower end of the series.

FIX: change power plan setting (in windows) to High Performance mode. Did the trick for me. 7950x3D + rtx4090

No luck with those changes, only fix I've heard working is disabling the cache cores in bios or disabling xbox game bar then launching.

Same here, this game (and the Enhanced too) is a stutterfest. (the power plan thing not working, e-cores off)

This fixed the issue for me. I got a 7900x and 4070ti and changing the power plan from balanced to High Performance totally fixed it!
