Should I play normal version or PC enhanced version
I have a RTX 2060

(of course I didn't know this when I bought the Gold Package of this game... I thought the Enhanced version was only availiable with the Gold Package... but apparently... that conclusion is wrong... regardless what the package listing says.)

I have ryzen 7 1700 and 16gb of ram

you should be able to run enhanced, but you may need to run at lower graphics settings ... also windows 10 version needs to be at least build 2004 for dxr1.1 to run enhanced edition.

So should I play this or normal version?

both versions are the same game content wise, if you want ray tracing lighting use enhanced, if you don't care about ray tracing then the original is less hardware intensive. choice is all yours.

But I can disable ray tracing on enhanced, no?

You should go with RTX 2060

You should be good to go with enhanced and RT.
I get stable 60fps on a 3050 and high settings + DLSS quality.
Performance might be even better than the standard version, since enhanced got optimised for RTX cards.

enhanced version is only possible to launch if your gpu supports ray tracing.
if your gpu does not support ray tracing you are not able to launch the enhanced version because it is forced (thats the enhancement).

So if I don't want to use ray-tracing I just play normal version?

That's bonkers. I would need to benchmark and test my system with raytracing to decide if I wanted to play or not. This is a very weird design decision.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

So you get $0.50 free that's crazy!

Mine chugged like a mother, so I uninstalled and went back to the standard version - RTX2060S

Stick with the normal edition.
Enhanced has RTX permanently on. Whereas normal edition gives you the option to turn it on or off.

The real question is, is it worth it?

From what I saw, enhanced has ONLY ray tracing. So im my opinion it is not worth it. Ray tracing is not a good cost benefit.

If enhancement had other benefits there could be a discussion but I don't think so.

Maybe if you have the best of the best system that can run the base version at max settings 4k 120fps and *still* have some power left to run even more fancy stuff.

To be fair I didn't even play the game yet. It's sitting on my library until I have time to play it.

I have same cpu, 64 gigs of ram, 1080Ti, Win110 and enhanced threw warning windows up (which I said 'ignore') and it crashed. I could not get enhanced to run (granted I did not try that hard)

Regular works fine at 140 fps all settings maxed out.

Well duh you have a GTX card not a RTX card. I have a 2060 which is less powerful than your card but could launch it fine.
