Can't clean weapons
Whenever I'm in the workbench, pressing the key for cleaning the weapon does nothing. Even though I have the required crafting materials.

This key is the same key for the "lighter". It's used for other functions in the workbench, which also do nothing.

I've tried rebinding the key but still doesn't work. I would try setting the controls back to default but there is no option to do so.

Anyone else having this same problem? Thanks

Are you on PC? There is a reset to default option. Also, cleaning is done with F (hold).

if you custom bind keys it can mess up certain menus but yea hold F to clean, if that is not working reset your keys to default and try.

Reset your keybindings.

Thanks for the help guys. So it looks like the workbench key-bindings are bugged. If you rebind your lighter key, the workbench shows the rebinded key in the prompt, but it actually still needs you to press the original key (the one before you rebound).

I would expect this from an early access game, but not a full release. I'm already feeling pretty underwhelmed with the game (i'm a big fan of the series) and to see bugs like this slip through QA it is pretty disappointing.

Indeed I had to read this thread to figure out I needed to press F. They really should fix this.

The fact it wasn't fixed doesn't mean QA didn't flag it. I imagine it wasn't a high priority bug and well see a fix in the next patch or 2. It is annoying but not game breaking.

@ne0_o_ It was game breaking for me. Already was struggling to stay immersed in the game, then:

* Spent ~15 minutes in game trying to figure out why i couldn't clean my weapons.
* Spend more time outside the game googling how to fix it (didn't find anything).
* Continued playing the game for several hours with my wespons slowly getting less powerful and less reliable.
* Eventually went to the extreme of posting a thread on the forums to help figure it out.

That is what i would personally consider game breaking.

If the devs are going to port to PC, they need to account for players rebinding their controls. It sounds nit-picky, but i actually think bugs like this can ruin a players experience with a game (especially if they're already on the edge of losing interest).

Your personal feelings are irrelevant in this case.
