Question regarding the metal detector

I've noticed that my metal detector only makes the beeping noise in some chapters even though it moves when close to crafting materials is it just me or it's bugged for everyone?

Yep same for me. I don't think it's that dependable to be honest, and after looting from several of the cases and lockers you'll start to remember which ones to look into anyway. Having that said, the other two upgrades aren't that useful either. We can always take our map out in case we've lost track of the current mission.

Wait, yours makes noise? All mine does is move the needle when I'm near some stuff, I didn't even know it could sound off.

I have quite been enjoying the motion detector when it comes to spiders and monsters like that

It's a one time pick up in the Volga level. If you've missed it already then that's it.

You can get it in the Caspian Sea as well, but if you have it already you will only find crafting materials.

I'm playing on console and my "metal detector" bugs out constantly. Sometimes it makes a noise but it seems to bug out once I load a saved game. It will still indicate about nearby loot but it won't make any noises.

I'm not use Mental Detector frequently, but the last time I use it doesn't make any sound for me. I also notice Motion Scanner also have sound bug. Sometime it remain silent even if I get close to "movable creatures", it doesn't suppose to work like that.

On Xbox One X metal detector never beeped, so i thought only motion sensor beeps.
