Metro Exodus Physical Copy Pre-Order Bonuses

Cutting straight to the chase: I pre-ordered a physical copy of the game (with sadly enough an epic games key in there, but we heard enough of that) with the digital artbook and OST as promised bonuses. My problem: I can't find them anywhere. Yes, yes steam pre-orders have it in their game directory, but not EG.
Anyone in a similar situation facing the same problem?

Well, I pre-ordered from JB (in-store) and the pre-order OST/Artbook was also supposed to be included as both an online and in-store bonus. I asked JB staff (in-store) and also sent JB online a message but they still haven't bothered to get back to me. I even sent a message to 4A games last week and still nothing.

If anybody on steam can please give us a copy of the OST/Artbook, we'd greatly appreciate it! :)

I got an update on that. Epic Games says the physical copy key doesn't include digital pre-order items - only the game. Deep Silver only writes that, I quote, "apparently" physical copies "regardless of pre-ordered or purchased after release" don't come with bonus items. But there's a glimmer of hope: the retailer (who sold it with pre-order items) writes that he is in discussion with the manufacturer on how and where to get these items and will reply as soon as they know it.

Right now it's not a question of needing those items, more like a matter of principle as the purchase agreement has to be fulfilled.

BTW, Metro Exodus is a great game, only Deep Silver and Epic Games kinda played themselves with their strategy.

I guess maybe they changed their minds? In a post last year, it did specifically say that:

"All physical PC pre-orders include a digital art book and the Metro Exodus OST",

Also, w/ the whole exclusivity debacle, it was really koch media that is to blame. Neither the game (including previous games) nor 4A should be targetted since, IMO, review-bombing a great series is kinda childish and spiteful. Just saying!

BTW, have you see the trailer for "Close To The Sun". Yes, it's an epic store exclusive but it is mildy cheap (pre-order)! ;)

If anyone is still interested - the fight is still on. With a minor win. Thanks to the tip from TerraDyte above, I found the advertisement directly on the Deep Silver page. Equipped with that, Deep Silver forwarded it to the devs, which have now a solution for Epic games in place. In what form is still to be clarified, as now it is Epic's move to activate/implement the devs solution for the (all?) affected account(s). For now Epic Games is still playing "dumb support" - let's see. The seller of the game himself remains silent - so he seemingly got no news from the publishers.

I also pre-ordered a physical copy. And few days ago, I was able to download the digital artbook and the OST from the Epic Launcher, additional to a physical option of both which I got with the physical copy.

Another issues caused by the last minute switch and bait by Epic and Deep Silver/Koch Media.

Very unprofessional developers whom show no integrity. If they take bribes then I doubt they have a good future as a developer. I doubt they will continue to make good games with such low values.

That's why getting the game on Steam is the best, you are better off just complain to tech support for Metro Exodus. This will make them think twice about putting it on Epic.

Yes, some people came to late for the steam option. So going on the supports nerves there and hoping it will find it's way up the ladder is the next best thing some can do.

I open the Epic Launcher just from time to time, since I don´t need to use the Epic Launcher to launch the game. I just need it to update the game. I don´t know when it became available for me. I only noticed it 10 days ago, when I randomly opened the Epic Launcher.

Hey Shadowfist.

I just checked this post (which I haven't checked in weeks) and I just checked my epic account just then and lo and behold, I do have another entry that says "Metro Exodus Pre-Purchase Extras". Which is funny because I installed another one of their free games (Transistor) yesterday and I didn't notice that entry there before. Perhaps I didn't notice altogether :)

Anyways, I guess that's another win for the pre-orderers! :) So very happy.

Let me know in a day or two or three if you got that extra entry as well. If not, just message me on Steam, I'll be happy to make a copy for ya! :D

Yes, I just got them too a week ago - sorry didn't have time to write. Don't know what triggered it exactly but I think maybe I annoyed them already since Epic support discussed my request already with their superior. Also because the seller and Deep Silver did everything they could - leaving only Epic to take their turn.

My suspicion - their algorithm differentiating between pre-order key or not (since the physical copies are the same) was not working flawlessly.

But however - now that we got our promised stuff 2 months after release - I will close the discussion.
