Metro Exodus
Weird gamma problem (black turns washed out gray/blue)
Just like the title says, my game displays black terribly bad, and in a game with as many dark areas as the metro series, it's almost unplayable.
When I adjust the in-game gamma settings, I'm supposed to make the darkest symbol "almost invisible", but I literally can't. When the gamma is set to the lowest setting, I can still see it clear as day.

The weirdest part is that _sometimes_ it works as intended, often that is when I start the game up and jump in, but as soon as the lightning changes in the game (i enter a brighter area, go outside a building or similar) I can clearly see how some kind of gray/blue filter is smacked in my face and everything just looks horrible.

The only workaround I've found is to dramatically lower the gamma on my monitor and then raising the in-game gamma to almost max, but that instead makes all shadows weak and all lights way too saturated (but it still looks better that way in some situations.

Please help me, I want to experience this game as beautiful as it is meant to be, the ♥♥♥♥ I get on my screen takes so much from the whole experience of it...

My video card is a Geforce GTX 1070

If you use Nvidia you can use Geforce Expierence (enable the beta features first!) then while in game press ALT+Z and use their "Freestyle Game Filters" apply the contrast / brightness filter and adjust it to your liking. its like reshade but in real time. it's got plenty of filters to mess around with.

Is there something similar for amd cards?

you're gonna need reshade. I don't think AMD has anything similar to Nvidias freestyle filters? I could be wrong though.

Gameworks helped enable features in this game. I feel they might have a hand in this terrible filter implementation /:

Well damn. I really don't want to put that bloat ware on my PC, but if it acts like a DX 12 reshade then I guess I'll have to, because the gamma is wack in Exodus.

Thanks for the heads up.
