Indeed, but it can't help in the situation like what I said...and consider Exodus is not perfectly stable in current version, quick save wasn't completely safe...
Oh, and I need to say that sometimes this game will AUTOMATICLY quick save, which happens at story progress I guess. So even manually quick save can only help you when you are exploring the sandbox, or going between two story checkpoint.
That's even more stupid if you ask me - they have an autosave, and they make the other one also semi-automatic. Well, if they really think story progress means that much, could they have a detailed choice in chapter manu? The answer is no, if you game save end up wrong, you will always need to replay the whole damn chapter.
This is the second time that my save got f**ked, and I'll be forced to play a same chapter the third time if it doesn't have a solution.
It's super frustrating.
I loaded my quick save today after my PC has been off completely for over 12 hours.
Then it would be, if the quick save was overwrited by the automatic one, it will be then erased. I have multiple cases of not being able to return to former quick save. The option is just grey.

1. Open config file.
2. Type interval in seconds (60 = checking for new quick save every 1 min).
3. Type your Metro Exodus save directory path.
3. Run saveFix.exe every time before running the game.
4. In backup folder you have your quick saves stored.
5. Select desired save from backup, remove date in the filename and replace "m3_quick_save"
from your Metro Exodus saves directory.
6. Now you can start from your backuped quickSave. Enjoy!
