I don't expect them to announce sales if they were well below expectation. I'm sure the hardcore fan would purchase this on Epic but I'd imagine a lot more of them would rather have it on the steam platform.
No dev wants to admit they were wrong. They either prove their point and show metrics, or they release it on steam and watch that rev flow in.
I think the Hardcore Fan will wait 1 year to have it next to the other ones (that's what i did) or buy on both stores (buying on Epic was never a solution).
If Fepic had announced from day 1 the time exclusive many people would not be complaining but removing it from Steam after months with a 7h countdown it's not ok.
You can buy for 50$ but on € it's the same 60 like Steam so Fepic is lying about there cut.
And while we are talking about only one country and only boxed sales we see here that as i predicted far cry new dawn is outselling it! https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2019-02-17-uk-charts-far-cry-new-dawn-is-no-1-but-metro-exodus-is-the-real-winner
There is no doubpt that on steam far cry new dawn also sells much better than metro does on epic or on xbox live and psn. Big mistake to release it same day with it!
