I believe it's fair to say that there are a fair amount of people that use steam as their one-stop shop. I'm a huge supporter of steam and their platform touches more users than any of the other distributors.

There are likely a lot of people who will not be purchasing the game until it comes back to Steam and I think the devs will see this when they realize their wallets aren't as full as they could have been. This is not meant to bash on Epic but there are several people who prefer the steam platform.

At the end of the day 70% of something is still better than 100% of nothing.

After what happend since the annoumcent of Epic only and many people saying they are not going to buy we need to know if it was worth all of this trouble or if people didnt buy it as they said. I hope that after one week since release which is on Friday they announce the sales numbers so we can all know if it sold well depite the move to epic or if it sold worse than expected and than previous metro games due to this!

I don't expect them to announce sales if they were well below expectation. I'm sure the hardcore fan would purchase this on Epic but I'd imagine a lot more of them would rather have it on the steam platform.

No dev wants to admit they were wrong. They either prove their point and show metrics, or they release it on steam and watch that rev flow in.

another mistake was to release it same day as far cry and crackdown most people cant buy 2 games at the same time and of course not 3 . Far cry will destroy it in sales ubisoft and valve are swiming in money from crazy high far cry new dawn sales(and same is happening on consoles too) compared to metro exodus.

Great idea. I am now enjoying The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which I have bought instead of this game (and also saved a lot of money ) and have another games on my list, which are accessible either here on Steam, or on Gog.com.

I also noticed that the Epic Store is in USD only. At least Steam, Origin, and Uplay offer those prices in CAD.

I think the Hardcore Fan will wait 1 year to have it next to the other ones (that's what i did) or buy on both stores (buying on Epic was never a solution).
If Fepic had announced from day 1 the time exclusive many people would not be complaining but removing it from Steam after months with a 7h countdown it's not ok.

You can buy for 50$ but on € it's the same 60 like Steam so Fepic is lying about there cut.

And while most sales are digital nowdays now we have first reports of boxed sales on uk(however the total worldwide digital and boxed sales are not counted).

There is no doubpt that on steam far cry new dawn also sells much better than metro does on epic or on xbox live and psn. Big mistake to release it same day with it!
