Big Fish <Spoilers>

[Slayer]

So, you know that big "fish" that swims around in the water in the first open area?

Last night I was mucking around and I came across two dudes fishing near a safe house, the safe house that the dude in the cage points you to. As I walked up to these two dudes and they started talking to me, the big monster fish jumped out of the water and killed them. It took one of them and left the other one dead.

Has this happened to anyone else? I want to know if this is a scripted event or can I actually talk to the two men and get a quest or something from them.

When I met them they just scolded me about all the tech I had on me, called me a heretic etc. then I looted their house and rowed on my merry way, seems that big fish's behaviour is more dynamic than I realised. You didn't miss much though, as far as I'm aware.

well in my game fishy just went trough the texture and killed one and second one survived XDDD enourmous bug XDDD

Ah cool. It felt more like a bug than it being dynamic at the time. Might be a bit of both! either way, it was awesome.

Is killing the big catfish scripted? Whats the best way to avoid it? I wanted to use tue boat more but am a bit scared that its not possible to avoid him at all before he eats you

I found just keeping my distance from him and walking instead when he's too close worked best, also I'm pretty sure if you stop rowing whenever a shrimp swims towards you it avoids them attacking you, then you can safely continue once the ripples stop. As for the big guy, killing him is scripted, but I have no idea whether its possible to kill him just by shooting beforehand. No point wasting bullets on him though.
