I use the latest version. But this would probably work with almost any.
Not sure about the blur you're experiencing. The blur i had was TAA for sure. Can you post a screenshot of the blur?
2 user CFG files created depending on where you open the game from.
They both work.
EPIC CFG: saved games/metroexodus
.EXE open: saved games
So just go back one directory and you'll get the saved game file created by metro exodus if you open via the EXE file.
Hope this helps
I can't still load the reshade menu but i change dxgi.dll name for d3d11.dll to load reshade and use https://www.nexusmods.com/metroexodus/mods/6. You can change in ReShade.ini line to PresetFiles=D:\Games\Metro Exodus\Better Colors reshade.ini
Edit: After alt+tab and back to the game menu work on "HOME" Button.
My reshade ini file:
Ill add a few things here:
Change the CurrentPreset variable to 1, and after the game loads, alt tab, type any text in the windows search box, then switch back to the game. Then its responsive, the menu opens and you can edit it in game. There is some strange focus issue that prevents the menu from loading for me.
Let me know if this works for anyone else.
I know it only works w/ DX 11. It wasn't loading even w/ DX11. Ill add that to the OP so people are more clear about what the issue is.
select the effects you want
close
enter game, press home
activate and change values in effects,
go to settings set a key to toggle effect
that is all
It doesn't work for me though. DX10, DX9, or OPENGL wont work alone. You have to change the name of the dx10+ install to D3D11.dll to get it to work for some people. It might work out of the box for some aswell.
And even then, for me, i can't access the in game menu to set the toggle key until i do the alt tab fix i mentioned in the OP.
For me dxgi.dll works well.
I had the same problem with my Epic Launcher before I came across a thread where the solution, or a workaround, resided.
You just install the newest reshade as normal and then change the files named "rxgi" to d3d11 to get the game started. When game starts you should see the "reshade installed successfully etc" on top of your screen, and here's the easy trick to get it working, just ALT + TAB out of the game and go into the microsoft search bar and write anything, then just press ESC and go back into the game again. Then press HOME and the menus and everything should work as normal.
Cheers
All ready got that figured out. But thanks anyways.
too bad :(
Oh jeez. LOL. I won it a long time ago. Ill have to install and see.
The only thing you have to do is to rename DXGI.DLL to D3D12.DLL (If you are using DX12) or D3D11.DLL (if you prefer DX11).
Works even with RTX enabled.
