Dolby Atmos in game broken

i got the Dolby Atmos app from windows 10 and it works for a normal Headset . trust me i have a Teufel Dolby Atmos Surround sound system on my TV ;)

but here when you make ingame that Atmos is on ... the sound is weird .
when i stand right in front of Anna i can only hear her very quiet . when i turn right its like she screams in my right ear . also the same in the left side and when i turn around i cant hear her . .

so for me it worked better to turn ingame Dolby Atmos OFF .

got Dolby Atmos via App aswell never bothered activating it ingame anyway ;)

Same here, can hear perfectly what happens everywhere except in my front and rear sides.
Try to disable the app and go for stereo in windows and then activate the dolby atmos in the game(that used to work with overwatch atmos).
I have a logitec 7.1 headphones, tried both 7.1 and stereo but can't find any difference with the in-game atmos enabled.

I have the same headset. I started a thread on Logitech's site, and got little help, but I can tell you that using the G933 wired (using the 3.5mm cable that comes with the headset and sticking it into the dongle) works, as it changes the headset to 2.0 from 7.1. So use the wire to use Atmos. There are other ways, but they are a hassle and involve too much fidgeting around.

Dolby Atmos is working fine here. Have you enabled it via the spatial audio settings?

Atmos App isn't needed for real Dolby Atmos. Either the game supports it or not, every other tool or app is just fake Atmos. The goal in Atmos is to have mutilple dozens of independant sound sources which are mapped by the Atmos DECODER and some placed over your head. What is your decoder ? Teufel don't have decoders for Atmos, they bundle it with 3rd party AVRs.
In order to have real height information (which has to be ENCODED by a software like Battlefield or Metro) and then decoded by a AVR which has Atmos deocder. So, if you turn it off ingame, then you hear something generated by the Atmos App which has nothing to do with what is going on on screen. How should the Atmos App "know" when and what to play through the ceiling speakers ?
The ONLY reak thing is off a Bluray or when you set it up in a game and then the only way to hear it right is through HDMI ! AFAIK there is no soundcard capable of Atmos, but every grafics card for the last 3 to 5 years CAN. They (the driver in software) do nothing more than multiplexing the soundstream into the graphic stream and sending it over HDMI.
The Atmos App is useless in my opinion. For games, it's fake and for Bluray it isnt't needed, because its there or not.
When you want to hear Atmos right forget about headsets, the even can't render 5.1 correctly.
There is some differene between Stereo and HRTF 5.1 simulations on headsets, but it's never ever like a real 5.1 setup. And now they wanto to sell us Atmos Headsets ?! WTF ? This is fake ²
You have to hook up a 1.3k AVR (because the cheaper ones only have 7 power amps) via HDMI, setup Windows to 7.1 PCM and then you go.

o.O wtf klar das es nicht reales Atmos sein kann ( für simuliertes jedoch recht geil in meinen Augen ,jedoch gegen meine TV Anlage ist es eher billig ).
Und Teufel liefert Verstärker von Onkyo als komplett Paket. Das gepaart mit nem guten 4k HDMI un nem sony Bravia 4k TV 65 Zoll ... ;) das Erlebnis werde ich nie im leben am Rechner haben ... oder wollen weil ..... zu teuer XD

Ich habe an meinem Rechner 5.1 per guter Soundkarte und am TV eine recht gute Anlage (auch mit Atmos). Ich hätte zwar am TV den besseren Sound (nur wenn ein Spiel Atmos hat), aber Am Monitor ein direkteres Spielgefühl, da man ja nun am Monitor dichter dran sitzt. Da bekomme ich mehr immersion und Details mit, als 3m vor dem 4K TV. Aber es ist gut, dass die Leute mittlerweile mitbekommen haben, dass man PC genau wie Konsolen am TV zocken kann...
