Current Game Issues - Compiled List (Some issues resolved)
1. No cloud saves. (is advertised on store page) - FIXED

2. No Steam trading cards. (is advertised on store page) - FIXED

3. No option to turn off motion blur.

4. Scaling for ultrawide support does not always work as intended (it stretches 2560 for 3840 and 3440 ultrawide). Possibly linked to native resolution of user monitor. - FIXED

5. No FOV options. Locked to 60 FOV.

6. Game can randomly crash for some people throughout the game. Predominately cut-scenes. Cut scenes in particular can turn into slideshows. - FIXED

7. Some people can't download the game properly as it will not download the 'executable MetroExodus.exe' file required to run the game. - FIXED

8. Alt Tab sometimes crashes the game. - FIXED

9. BUG - Ingame scripting for quest NPCs and objects (railcar) can break resulting in player having to restart whole chapter or load last savefile. There are reports of scripting breaking for people throughout many scripted sequences. Below is a example of one:

10. Some HDR issues when using DirectX11 - FIXED

11. DirectX12 can sometimes result in crashing to desktop or hard PC locks.

Potential FIX for some systems:

- Open Task Manager
- Go to 'Services'
- Stop the 'TabletInputService'

To stop it permanently -v

Search bar in windows find Registry Editor and search for -v

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\TabletInputService
Select the REG_DWORD named "Start" and edit the value data to 4 .

12. Interferes with Corsair RGB lighting. (FIX- Open iCUI and go into the 'settings' then unselect SDK option or download newest iCUI update)

13. No border options for borderless windowed, windowed or normal fullscreen. Game is in exclusive fullscreen by default with no interchangeability. - FIXED

14. Use of DirectX12 plus HDR can result in immersion killing input lag for mouse and gamepad. - FIXED

15. DLSS is not working 100% as intended. Produces blurrier image. -FIXED

16. Ray Tracing takes away 40-50% of ingame framerate. Same issue Battlefield V had upon launch with ray tracing implementation.

Improved with Ranger update

17. BUG - "If you set custom keybinds for keys that are used in the workbench, the custom keybinds won't work. You'll have to reset to default keybinds in order to use workbenches."

18. Footstep audio does not match movement of Artyom. Sounds too fast.

19. Needs:
Advanced Graphics Option menu to tweak object rendering distance/shadow quality/AA/motion blur off/FOV slider/Turn off film grain etc.
-Keyboard layout option of previous metro games. Secondary throwables selection is not intuitive for PC controls and only feels natural for gamepad but not KB/Mouse.

20. BUG - Quicksave and Autosave system. Many reports of quicksave not working even outside of questing hubs, outside of combat and on lower difficulty settings. 21. No option to turn off TAA. At 4k resolution where anti aliasing is not necessary being unable to turn off TAA is a logical flaw.

22. No SLI or Crossfire profiles.

23. BUG - When on the bridge, do NOT quicksave inside the elevator as it will break the game. If you die the checkpoint and quicksave will have you back in the elevator and the elevator will be stuck permanently. https://steamcommunity.com/app/412020/discussions/0/3658515990048202561/

25. BUG - Some players having issues selecting the weapons tab
In the modding/inventory screen (backpack). Could be linked to buggy keybindings as keybindings are not without problems.

26. Issues with hit detection registering some shots. Particularly headshots from bullets, arrows and knives. Reports from players that shooting dogs in the head has little to no effect.

27. BUG - Workbenches. Several players have reported that only one workbench in a sandbox area will work for them whilst the remainder will be unresponsive. Others have reported that they are unable to use the clean weapon option via the designated key whilst at a workbench. (FIX-Hold F key to clean weapons as keybindings are somewhat broken and don't recognise binded key) In general workbenches have been noted that they do not always work as intended.

28. BUG - Reports of boats not responding to controls. Being immobile on their spawn points.

30. Audio has issues in regards to dialogue of characters at times being hard to hear, and some NPCs speak over each other making it hard to differentiate between who is doing the talking. Needs a audio slider for voice in the game settings.

32. BUG - Keybindings that are not default keybindings can become non responsive. For example binding a different key to clean weapons or clean the gas mask has a high chance of not working and you will not be able to carry out those actions with the newly bound key. Gamepads have no such issues and this implies that the game was first and foremost developed for consoles first in regards to the controls and user interface.


33. BUG - Physics. The physics has potential to go haywire resulting in comical instances. Which includes but is not limited to flying enemies.

34. BUG - After killing all the attackers when the Baron's group raids the Aurora; nothing happens. The compass just keeps pointing at a dead body near the trucks and Damir continues shooting at a stack of concrete blocks without pause.

NOTE
If you are having issues where the game is crashing, freezing or stuttering on you, try reverting to DirectX11 mode. Don't use DirectX12 mode. And disable Hairworks.

The scripting in the first chapter seems easy to break, particularly the part where you are listening on the radio with Anna at the top of a building. Had to restart the whole first chapter to fix it. She wouldn't follow me down to the street area where the pack of Watchmen run by. She would just spawn there when I ran far enough to make them start running by and then do nothing after shooting at them for a bit and stand there. Causing you to be unable to progress. Saw a post on reddit of someone who had the same thing.

If this happens you'll have to restart the chapter, I just made a point to stay right behind Anna and not explore at all to make sure her scripting worked. Did the trick.

For some reason, Anna stop moving at all. She just standing at one place. Is there anyone who know how to fix this problem?

NP, good timing :)

Like I said the trick is re loading the chapter (re loading the save multiple times didn't work) which means sitting through the intro cutscenes and what not (IDK of a way to skip them). Then just make a point to follow Anna closely and not wander off at all. I could tell it was fixed because I started getting lines she didn't say the first time through and she actually followed me down to the street. Good luck, hope it works for you

My game is stuck at res 5140 x 1440 and is greyed out... im on a 4k screen and it wont let me change it.... very annoying

There's also no FOV options and we can't turn off motion blur. Standard PC features in today's PC gaming industry.

Dx12 + HDR huge input lag. Nvidias pre rendered frames set to 1 doesn't work it has to be done in games menu engine level for it to work. I don't like frame rates all over the place so if I set Vsync to half for 30fps the input lag is huge.
