Ranger Hardcore. Ammo Check?
I would expect that you could check your ammo from your bag but i just can not see it. I do not expect a UI sure, but at least let me find out how much ammo is left in my pockets. I can not count rounds fired if i do not know how many i got to start with.

Avoid the "full dive" ranger hardcore mode for first run since it doesn't even show QTE prompts :P
On the "minimal" ranger hardcore mode press and hold tab to check ammo

I don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to design the game this way. At least I didn't get very far before I realized "Full Dive" is awful.

Basic game functionality like knowing how much ammo you have shouldn't ever be sacrificed for the sake of immersion.

Ranger Hardcore separates the men from the whiny babies.

I do not mind having little UI but they could at least have made it reasonable. I enjoy hardcore but they could have thought Full Dive a little more through.

Ah well, i found that you can check your ammo at workbenches. Is not much but it works.

I would like at least the ability to check remaining ammo in a mag - by looking. Like in Escape from Tarkov - Full, Nearly full, Empty etc.

In the previous games you can at least check your ammo reserve during Ranger Hardcore runs. When you hold out your notepad, your ammo reserve will show up, and it is essential since ammo you can scavenge comes in fewer amounts.
I think they made a mistake here by not including any way to check ammo reserve in Exodus. Maybe a patch can fix it. Just show the ammo reserve when opening the backpack. In fact, I felt the overall UI design in this game is less flashed out compare to previous games.

just open your backpack and look how much ammo you have as you can craft ammo anywhere

On Ranger hardcore you can not. You can only make ammo for special weapons. For conventional you need a workbench.

Yeah thanks, I feel so immersed not being able to check how much munition I have in my bag. Nevermind that stupid brat not being able to keep her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouth shut, THIS is what would've went too far.

Well I think dev accidentally left out the feature for checking ammo on 'full dive' mode. It was possible to check ur ammo by physically looking at ur magazine on previous games. It's a shame that dev cut that feature, cuz it was quite awesome.

Even in normal and I think easy modes you can't craft normal ammo from the backpack only workbenches ran into the same problem with full dive hardcore and it's only the ammo prob I have with it qte and story stuff no ui cool nice and hard the way I wanna suffer but can't check my ammo now we gotta a problem that actually hurt's my immersion am I just supposed to accept that Artyom Is now just brain dead and has no clue where his bullets come from that he just reloads from the shadow realm and that's why he can't check it wtf ya know :steamsalty:

Just started a my ranger hardcore run on Exodus after doing the first two games on survival with ranger hardcore. I thought you'd be able to see total ammo count as you could in the first two games but I can't see crap in my bag. I don't see why they took this away in this game. In previous games you'd be able to check total ammo when out of combat through the journal so you'd know how mindful you'd need to be in the next combat encounter, and this was very important as ammo was scarce and combat was always around. In this game though I have no idea how much ammo I have. Crazy they took this feature away but oh well.
