Game still too dark.

Is the game supposed to be this dark?

Already uninstall and reinstall drivers using DDU & even reinstalled the game..
Already tried changing Gamma Slider from lowest to highest, the game is too dark, its unplayable.
PC Specs: 2600x, 16gb ram, 5700XT (20.4.2 Optional drivers)

yes, the gamma slider in-game is at maxed & increasing monitor brightness only makes the game more white

Wait, what? Is it supposed to be this dark though? i cant even see the ground i'm stepping on..
iirc the previous Metro's ive played wasnt playing in almost complete darkness...

Edit: Also, ive noticed whenever i want to pick up a Weapon (Shows the weapon logo and pressing E), the whole screen goes black

The images you posted are from a very dark area, try posting images from a brighter area.
Also, are you playing with ray tracing on? cause it kinda make the game a little darker looking (where there is not light).
Anyway, when I played it I turned on the flashlight almost all the time, so I won't miss loot.

No, i dont have ray tracing on, because im using an AMD 5700xt card..unless if there's a ray tracing option in game that i'm unaware of?

Also my main menu looks pretty dark with maxed out gamma...

Fixed it, it was taa_enabled 0 in the user.cfg. Just setting it to 1 and it fixed the entire brightness/gamma issue I was having.

Though, the game textures now look slightly blurry with TAA on, i guess that's the issue of playing this game with TAA @ 1080p...
