Books vs Game?
Have all the books had a game made about them or is this not the case? What are all the books this series is based on and which game coincides with which game?

The first game is very loosely based of the first story book and the opening level of this game take some plot points from the third book but that's about it.

  1. Metro 2033 game is based on the Metro 2033 book. Almost the same story in both the game and the book.
  2. Events in Metro 2034 book occur at the same time as Metro Last Light but tell stories about different Metro habitants (not Artyom). While Artyom is "doing" the Last Light game, other stuff is going on in the metro, and the book is about the latter.
  3. Metro 2035 book returns to Artyom again, describes events after the Last Light. In Metro 2035, Artyom's story crosses the main heroes of Metro 2034. Hence it is worth both playing Last Light and reading Metro 2034 to get the full background.
  4. Metro Exodus starts where Metro 2035 ends. The game's beginning doesn't entirely match the end of the book - some details are different, but it's not that important.

To get the full Artyom's story, you need to play Metro 2033 (or read the book), then play Last Light, afterward read Metro 2035, and finally play Exodus. Reading Metro 2034 is optional: it has nothing to do with Artyom but may help to clarify some events in Metro 2035.

The developer announced that a new Metro is in the works. Is there by any chance also a new book in the works too? And any idea when we can expect a new game? 2022?

According to Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2035 was the last book and the end of the trilogy.

He was the founder of the Metro Universe, though. A lot of writers from all over the world made up their own stories with new characters acting in different places. They are definetely all worth reading if you're into the originals. Every single one has their own catching story and characters you wanna follow. Well done, if not better in some cases.

2022 is way too early. Hopefully for the next game they will implement proper graphic settings. No fov settings among other things is really unacceptable for a AAA developer.

In Metro 2035, there are also hints leading to the Last Light game. Glukhovsky has been dealing with the developers for a long time already. Hence, playing Last Light before reading 2035 is not a bad idea.

Are there any that continue the story of Artyom after Metro Exodus?

No. And I don't think there will be, either. Authors are free to write their own stories but the rights for Artyom and everything that happened in 2033-2035 are probably Glukhovsky's alone.

There is a book from the Metro 2033 universe about a little boy called Gleb and a Stalker Taran and a Cult or Religion called "Exodus" no clue if it has anything to do with the actual Metro story

If you like the story, buy the Books, the game is just the short option and with way less detail
and information than the Books
