Anybody Else thinks The Voice Acting on Exodus is Cringy

its much more worse than 2033 and last light. Update, I refunded the game. It doesn't feel like a Metro Game more like a Grittier Fallout 4 which also sucks

Well iirc the VAs for 2033 were Russian, the VAs for Exodus are Westerners attempting to imitate Russian accents and end up sounding like Boris from Golden Eye. Sam is the worst though, he sounds more like something from MGS or Vanquish than what you'd expect in a game that is trying to have a much more serious tone.

I know Sam is an American character, he also sounds like a cartoon character. And correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't the VA for Artyom in the first game Russian?

OH plz my native is RU and i play in RU. the ACTING is the WORST in this game in all metro series.
Not even talking about the fact that every character is trying to break a jaw by sucking Artiom ♥♥♥♥ at EVERY DIALOG.
"OH ARTIOM you so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome at shooting" even know you didn't even shoot "Let all the train suck your ♥♥♥♥ at once".

If you want to see how RU culture works in treating its heros go play WITCHER3 RU.

I wouldn't recommend playing in Russian ever more than playing in English. Of course unless you don't understand Russian, then it will feel different. But trust me, as I am biolingual: both versions suck and both make you cringe. Voice acting is unprofessional and quite awful for the game of this statue. Russian version of an American acccent is stupid and cartoonish. To top it all of the sequencies between sentencing of dialogs have those annoying pauses, which even more obvious in scenes where a character has to inerupt another character in dialog and you end up with something like this:
-blah-blah....
(1 sec pause... ) - But, Sir!
(another 1 sec pause) - I've said it and it's final!

This game is not worth the hype it generated, sadly. And it fails to deliver on many promises IMO (about this game not being linear, or ease of controls, or superb graphics (I've experienced better visuals in 5 year old GTA V or 4 year old Assassin's Creed) and voice acting just falls right in that category also.)
