worth buying in 2022?

I have to agree with this for me its 2033>Last Light>Exodus. Don't get me wrong Exodus is a great game and a lot of fun but not quite as good at the two before.

The whole bundle is on sale, if you don't know much about the game and haven't played the others i would highly recommend you plays those too, its not essential to play them but you will enjoy the trilogy a lot more knowing the general backstory of the game and characters.

Probably never since this one is pretty much the conclusion to the story of the current MC
if a new game comes its gonna be completely different characters

While they did confirm a while back that they are working on a 4th game we probably won't see it for quite some time. Hell, we might not see it for even longer with the war in Ukraine, which has already claimed STALKER 2, at least for the moment.

I'm pretty sure the next mainline story based metro game will also continue Artyom's story so I still don't see your point. Stop worrying about what will happen in 5 years, you either want to play the Metro series or you don't, end of story.

The game came out in 2019 so I'm not sure what you're implying by asking if it's worth buying in 2022. It's not that old. Even the first two game hold up exceptionally well in the current year. The entire trilogy is one of the best FPS IPs out there. I mean, people are still playing the STALKER games and the original was release in 2009.

As for Metro 4, it is in development, but it's unclear as to when it'll be released. Additionally, 4A is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, so things are a little difficult for them at the moment, meaning that any follow up in the series will inevitable be delayed. I've heard, but have not confirmed, that they were moving the company to Poland (I think? GSC was supposed to go to Prague, but that's unclear). But for the time being, the three Metro games still available are the best better of this kind of content.
