Might work on both, I don't imagine they changed these for the EE. Anyway, good work.
Yeah I noticed that this bug was reported online not long after release. Really seems like it should have been fixed.
You can use this tool to open the assets files for the game. What you want to do is track down the sound file for the spider and delete it, then replace the content file for your game. It's a bit involved, but doable if you want to have a crack.
