Did you delete or disable (credits.webm, intro.webm & legal.webm) these videos?
What are your specs pls?
Running a chkdsk is extremely unlikely to solve anything unless you're experiencing issues elsewhere but again, doesn't hurt.
Just don't go defragmenting the SSD ;)
Disable Nvidia Geforce Experience in-game overlay as that can cause a crash on startup, in fact just disable geforce experience as it's more hassle than it's worth anyhow.
Failing that.
Go here...
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\metro exodus\
Find your user.cfg
Ctrl+F and look for 'r_api'
Set to 'r_api 2' this will put the game into DX11 mode.
Sometimes DX12 ('r_api 3') will cause a crash on startup.
if that doesn't work then try moving user.cfg out of the folder/deleting it and the game will generate a new one itself with default settings if it manages to start.
Lastly.
Ansel is an nvidia feature that lets you take funky screenshots with filters, free cam and whatnot which the game had problems with once upon a time, try disabling Ansel.
It's a bit weird at the moment because recent driver updates have changed how you might go about disabling Ansel but it should be one of these two ways...
You are also sitting on the bare minimum of VRAM with only 2Gb.
