Is there any way to have more save slots
I play on vet ranger difficulty, i can't imagine playing on lower difficulties, but i would love to have more saveslots, so i could test different things, or just get rambo when failing stealth after which i would reload autosave.

But i can't, autosaves override saveslots, so i can't try fighting after being spotted and often being punished dying because if i succed i will lose one of three savespots and if it happens 3 time, i lose all.
So game forces me to just load autosave after failed sneaking...

Best thing you could do is to manual copy and paste those saves elsewhere

No other way? I wanted to avoid it from the beggining because of how annoying this is.

I've had a lot of gripes with the game, only to find out there's a useful mechanic that I wasn't aware about.

The lack of persistent manual saves, and the inability to skip or rewatch dialogue is pretty crappy for an open world game. Those are my two gripes in an otherwise stellar game.

Just make a copy of your metro exodus folder: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Metro_Exodus#Game_data

Disable cloud saves.
