4k Textures

I'm playing the enhanced edition, and remember them saying that 4k textures come with the enhanced edition. I assume that means 4k is the max resolution streamed, but... there's plenty of muddy textures leading me to believe that's not the case.

Anybody got ideas?

On PC, that "texture pack" has always been included since the original release. Their statement was referring to the console enhanced editions. The original console releases did not have the "texture pack" but the new update for XSX/PS5 does.

So why are they calling the PC version here Metro Exodus Enhanced... if it already IS Enhanced textureswise?

They're not. There's the Standard version, then there's the Enhanced version. You choose which one to d/l and install.

Huh. Well, I guess it is in there. Where as I run in to the occasional low res chair or table, sometimes I run in to the highest res tree in existence. lol

That's usually due to textures that fail to load, or the game "downgrading" on the fly as it is trying to conserve resources.
