Can't skip intro movie
Any fix for not being able to fast forward through the into movie when using DX12 (for ray tracing)?

The intro is about 2 minutes long and then it is followed by a black screen for an additional minute before the subway/menu screen displays. That's three minutes of waiting around every time I launch the game and it has become obnoxious.

With it on DX11 I can easily skip the into and all that by simply holding the E button but this doesn't work on DX12.

Nope, did as you instructed and started causing crashes to desktop.

Id recomend avoid DX 12 in this game. I played half of storyline using DX12, and game used to crash constantly. So I switched to DX11 and voila! I finished the game nicely (However, game crashed twice, due poor optmization. Even on consoles this game is pretty buggy, so dont blame your system)

Sounds like rig or settings. I run on DX12 Ultra no RTX with the 3 videos deleted and have a start to menu time of 20secs. Maybe post a basic spec list.
Did you try the benchmark? Do other games run ok?

Thanks for the replies, folks.

Welp...I uninstalled GeForce Experience the other night because I was displeased with the bloat apps that were running in the background all the time. An unexpected perk of getting rid of that crap is that my Exodus is launching perfectly fine. So it turns out the very software that is supposed to help your games run better was actually causing my problems with this game. Go figure.

Yeah I never used it for optimization. I really only kept it for the convenience of the automatic driver updates. When I noticed it was running crap in the background I got rid of it. Fixing my Exodus issue as a result was a nice unexpected bonus. It also appears that removing it from my PC also solved another issue in that my 3DMark wasn't detecting my system hardware. (double bonus)
