To attack or not to attack? [SOLVED]
Im trying to play blind for the good ending and see what will happen or what not. I tried not to kill anyone (Except thugs and bandits) and it went very good so far. Upon entering taiga i got a question. Since people are morons noone can give a proper answer to one question.

Language can be used very precise or as most people do, extremely variable.

Many wrote: Do not harm/hurt pioneers etc. at Taiga. Some wrote dont kill them.

Ultimate question: Am I allowed to knock them out or not?

Becouse encountering them and knocking them out means hurting them but not killing them. And noones able to give a precise answer wether knocking out is okay or not.

I didnt ask wether i can or cannot kill anybody. My question was wether knocking out karma relevant people counts as harming them. Please read properly before spaming with nonsense. youre the second one here.

This isn't really a spoiler but I'll spoil it anyway.

Knockouts are OK, but..

The Ending is actually determined by how many of 3 teammates survive and stay with the crew. You need 2 for a good end and you'll understand why later.
Duke on the bridge mission on Volga, Damir on the oil mission on Caspian and Alyosha on Taiga. Their survival is determined by your actions during those chapters and karma points are awarded for certain actions though not all available points on a map are needed. In Taiga, knockouts are OK but strangely enough an alert, even without any knockouts or kills can cancel a karma point. I think there are 5 points to collect on Taiga but unfortunately I don't know how many are needed to keep Alyosha.
Put simply, if Duke and Damir are still with the crew I wouldn't worry about the end too much but if you also want the Forest Child achievement then stealth the map, don't kill Pioneers or Pirates (knockouts are OK but, there 'might' be a tally system where there can be too many knockouts. I'm not sure), and collect those karma points. I mention the 'tally system' because I've stealthed and knocked out everyone with no alerts in the Pioneer camp and gotten no point. I've knocked out one person and killed no-one with no alert and gotten a point. I've knocked out or killed no-one but gotten an alert and you guessed it, no point. BTW, a similar tally system is used on the Bridge part of the Volga mission but that's a kill tally. You can kill some but not too many.
If it helps, there are two pirate camps, one pioneer camp and one bandit camp. A point is / can be awarded when you leave each of the pirate and pioneer camps. Another point is at the beginning of Taiga by rescuing a bandit from a wolf and another is a prisoner rescue from inside the bandit camp itself.

I did not ask for any of that. I know all of that already.

What is wrong with people. I even pointed out my question to make it absolutely clear what was asked.

I did not ask what i need for the good ending.

I did not ask whom or what i have to save.

I did not ask anything but wether knocking out people on Taiga is ok.

95% of what you wrote is ABSOLUTELY REDUNDANT and a hopeless waste of time.

Its not that im not thankful for help, its that the help of people is in 90% of cases so far no help at all.

ha.. I was just killing time so I must be one of those morons you mention. I did answer your knockout question though.
btw, "Ultimate question: Am I allowed to knock them out or not?" YES YOU ARE!

I had the same problem untill I just did it
you can knock them out just don't kill them if you don't kill any then alyosha will be ok
I don't kill pirates either I think you can kill them and aylosha will be ok but just to be safe I don't kill em

1. Thats why 95% of what you wrote is redundant. 5% would have been useful yet the question was already resolved at that point.

2. You trying to kill time is helping me how? Its seems youre busy with helping yourself by wasting my time.

Im very sorry I sound harsh here but reality is harsh sometimes. Thanks for the effort I guess.

You're welcome I guess. If the question was already resolved why didn't you mark the thread as SOLVED? Seems you're the one wasting our time doesn't it? I may have been idling time but I was trying to help and your ungratefulness, doesn't. btw, you're the one who mentioned the Forest Child and spoke repeatedly of Taiga. I just read the thread and posts and tried to help.
Good luck with your struggles because I suspect you'll need it.
