Grampa: Too late.”
OP, I use F key for Lighter and I'm not positive because I bound them about 6 months ago but I'm pretty sure F isn't the 'default'.
edit:
Shack reckons you can:
https://www.shacknews.com/article/109962/all-pc-keybindings-for-metro-exodus
In fact, I suggest you do some proper reading because the game runs fine.
Because you can find negative articles or videos doesn't make them the rule. 9/10 it just means there's another idiot out there making videos and flapping their gums.
That ShackNews article shows the default keybinds and it helps to illustrate my point. Look here:

My changed binds. I count 15. I have a lot of playtime done on two different rigs and have on occasion changed some binds to suit playstyles and I've never had a problem.
If you can't bind your lighter to the key you want bind it to another. I 'think' some options only bind to some keys. If necessary use a key you're already using for something else and re-assign that one.
It's not that hard and it's only a game. Be flexible.
I use a controller in my left hand and a mouse in my right hand. I go into Steam and have the controller ignored. Then I use a mapping tool to map the controller like it's a keyboard. Basically all games I have allow me to turn off the Steam controller mapping except for the first 2 Metro games. It's impossible. Is Exodus different? For some reason the developer hard coded some of the mapping on the first 2 games and it cannot be wiped.
