Should I use a trainer?

I played through on hardcore and I didn't suffer from low ammo issues at all. Just search a lot and you will find more than enough ammo about and materials to craft some if needed etc.

There is no point playing this game with trainer. If you don't like exploring and worrying about how much ammo is left just tbh this game is not for you...

Some people are good at the combat aspect and enjoy it. Some are good at stealth. Most enjoy the exploration. And some are in it for the storyline. Some even have all four in spades. But not everyone.

Games like this allow anyone to play the lead role in a movie, with a number of plot variations depending on choices made by the 'actor'. The lead character dying in the middle of the story doesn't happen in the movies, though.

And I can say, from annoying experience in Iron Mode, that it's a bloody nuisance when it does.

If it is your thing, or facilitates your thing, go for it. You bought the game - it is entirely up to you how you use it.

Just go and explore you will found all what you need to play without stress. Of course you should try sometimes to avoid mutants and men (them stealth kill).

I hate grinding and stealth. No problem with exploring but it doesnt really pay off in the end. Im using most of my supplies on health and cleaning weapons. Enemies have pin point aiming. peak my head out at the wrong time and I get hit. I can only take 2 or 3 shots before death and the autosaving is weird. If you dont quicksave every minute then you might be somewhere you dont want to.

I've thought up some pretty funny make believe mods to replace that trainer idea but I'm guessing reference to dummies and band-aids will fall flat if you're having a hard time. What I don't get is why are you playing a stealth shooter if you don't like stealth? The Metro franchise are stealth.
If you really are having a bad time I'd suggest either re-think your tactics or lower your difficulty.

It's up to you tbh its your gaming experience you shouldn't let anyone tell you to do something you'd rather not
anyway this game and pretty much most singleplayer games don't have vac or any anti-cheat so you won't be punished for using a trainer but the stealth and looting aspect is pretty much a huge part of the game, it is a survival-like game afterall with a trainer the game would be pretty boring you could just watch a cutscene movie if you're more interested in the story and dislike the gameplay.
