Skip time w/o mattress?

Is there a way? I'm at the pirate fort I need to get the boat from and it is broad daylight

Not there. Best to find a spot and leave the game running and make a coffee or something, time runs pretty fast in 'the Metro'.

You can get through there in broad daylight while sneaking. There is also a bed there in a small gazebo, you walked past it when coming down from the church.

You're right, there is a bedroll near the church but OP's already at the fort and wants a sneaky night time adventure.

If we are talking about the Volga trader boat take over, i ended up having to do this mission doing daylight too. I got spotted one to many times, so during the mission i just said F*** that and backtracked, while still in the mission, back to the bunker area with the antennae on top, slept in the house till night and then aced the mission easily after that, AND it also made the mission on the bridge easier, so win win for me :D

If there is one thing i learned with this game:
Doing side or main missions, do so during night time.
Explore during daytime.
At least my experience became much much better if i did it like this.

There is a mattress in Krest's room in the crane, they even tell you during the "briefing".
